The majority of my commissions are pet portraits, however if you are looking for something different, please feel free to enquire using the contact form.
My pet portraits are created on a commission basis. I create authentic, high quality, realistic graphite pencil drawings of your pets, capturing their personality with each and every pencil stroke. Each hand-drawn bespoke portrait makes a great, personal and memorable gift for any occasion.
Below is the step-by-step process for commissioning your own drawing:
Sizes & Prices
Firstly, you will need to decide on the size of portrait you would like. The table below lists my standard sizes, though I can offer other sizes as well. If you are unsure, I can suggest the best shape and size for your portrait based on the reference photos you provide. Just keep in mind where you plan to display the portrait in your home, whether on a side table or prominently on the wall, as the size of the portrait is crucial.
Most of my portraits are completed with a plain background, but if you prefer a more complex background, I'm happy to accommodate this for an additional cost.
Reference Photos
Secondly, you will need a high-quality photograph of your pet (or other subject). Headshots are the most common, but I can accommodate any preference.
Natural lighting, by a window or preferably outdoors with no direct sunlight, provides the best conditions for capturing the perfect photograph. I need to see your pet's eyes clearly. The better the photograph, the better the drawing!
I usually use one main photograph to draw from, but a selection of photos is always helpful if the quality is not perfect. I can also combine multiple photos and send a rough composition to ensure you're happy with it.
If you are unsure whether your images are suitable, please feel free to email me a selection so I can offer advice on capturing a better photograph and check if they are suitable to draw from.
I need original images, no screenshots or cropped photos, please.

Book Your Commission
Once you have an idea on the size of drawing you would like to go for, and you have gathered some suitable reference photos, all you need to do is use the contact form to get in touch.
The completion time varies on each piece so please keep this in mind if you need the portrait completed by a certain date.
To secure your commission, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining payment can be made once the drawing is complete.
If you would like to pay in monthly instalments, a finance plan can be arranged.
The Process
Progress photos can be sent throughout the process or you can choose to wait and see the finished drawing once it is completed. Please don't hesitate to contact me for an update.
I share a lot of my work online and often record the process of my drawings. I upload my process to my YouTube channel, so you can see your own portrait coming to life.
Completion
Once your drawing is complete, I will send you some photos of the artwork and once you are 100% happy with your commission, the remaining payment can be made.
I can then arrange postage, free of charge, or pickup if you are local.
Your drawing will be hand signed and presented with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity.
